Pink Mist | Niebla Rosada

I always build my work from the intertextuality, forming collections of objects (images, videos, music, texts); an archeology mainly drawn from the Web. For me all cultural production is a common possession, there is no separation between authors and readers, between artists and spectators and it is not necessary to cite the sources. In Pink Mist I starkly show my mental and emotional state, a sort of cry framed within a post conceptualist format. Through my own psychological duel product of a loss, I elaborate with appropriated iconography of others, my own pain. The book format arises in the face of the impossibility of metaphorizing. Performing a work/fetish object, sometimes becomes a problem even though the fetish still exists clinging to the problem of philosophy and aesthetics. This time the mourning does not allow me to develop a conceptual strategy to work with critical sense; grief disables me. The book tells the works that could not be done because the visual arts did not offer me the possibility of amplifying the reflection, and rather than any artistic format or genre, I opted for writing. The installation of videos, on the other hand, shows the possible sources to execute the works in the book. Images that only have value as such, coming out of that file where they are grouped and presented from my singular point of view, breaking with hegemony and rescuing polysemy. With the same archive, a new script is generated. A kind of exquisite corpse under control, which generates a new narrative from sources.
Siempre construyo mi trabajo a partir de la intertextualidad, formando colecciones de objetos (imágenes, videos, música, textos); una arqueología principalmente extraída de la Web. Para mí toda la producción cultural es posesión común, no hay separación entre autores y lectores, entre artistas y espectadores y no es necesario citar las fuentes. En Niebla Rosada muestro mi estado mental y emocional, una especie de grito enmarcado dentro de un formato post-conceptualista. A través de mi propio duelo psicológico producto de una pérdida, elaboro con la iconografía tomada de otros, mi propio dolor. El formato del libro surge ante la imposibilidad de la metáfora. Realizar un trabajo / objeto fetiche, a veces se convierte en un problema a pesar de que el fetichismo todavía existe relacionado al problema de la filosofía y la estética. Esta vez el duelo no me permite desarrollar una estrategia conceptual para trabajar con sentido crítico; El dolor me desactiva. El libro cuenta las obras que no pueden hacerse porque las artes visuales no me ofrecen la posibilidad de ampliar la reflexión, y en lugar de cualquier formato artístico o género, opté por la escritura. La instalación de videos por otro lado muestra las posibles fuentes para ejecutar las obras en el libro. Imágenes que sólo tienen valor como tales, saliendo de ese archivo donde se agrupan y presentan desde mi punto de vista singular, rompiendo con la hegemonía y rescatando la polisemia. Con el mismo archivo se genera un nuevo script. Una especie de cadáver exquisito bajo control, que genera una nueva narración de fuentes.
